In this episode, I am joined by Dr. Adam T. Murry who is an assistant professor of Indigenous psychology at the University of Calgary, where he teaches an undergraduate course in qualitative research methods. He is a mixed methodologist by training, specializing in the integration of quantitative and qualitative methods. He currently has several mixed methods projects underway on a range of topics, including evaluating undergraduate research training programs, and Indigenous mentorship, allyship, employment experiences, and health research networks.

Adam talks all about the difference between qualitative and quantitative methods, the strengths and weaknesses for each, and the philosophical assumptions behind them. He also discusses what to look for when reading research, and why picking the best methods matters.

I know you’re going to get a lot of insight and information from this episode. Enjoy, and thank you for listening!
