We can't stop stress from happening, but we can control certain variables when we're in a stress response. In this episode, I discuss what stress is and what happens when we stay in stress for short periods of time compared to long periods of time. I also talk about research from neuro-ophthalmologist Dr. Mithu Stornoi on tips to get our brains out of "high alert" after we've encountered an acute bout of stress so we can think clearly and rationally later on. To finish, I discuss what I think the worst kind of stress is and what we can do about it!
